Answers, and a person when you need one
If what you need is not here, ask. We answer messages within one working day, and urgent travel problems the same day.
Buying
How do I know the booking really exists?
Because we have read the original confirmation ourselves and matched it against the listing. Every listing shows the date we last confirmed the booking with the supplier, and which checks have and have not been completed.
What if the supplier refuses to transfer it to me?
Everything you paid to Transfer Travel is refunded within five working days. The seller receives nothing and we charge no commission. A name change fee charged directly by the supplier follows the supplier's own terms, which is why the listing shows it, and who pays it, before you buy.
Is the price on the listing the price I pay?
Yes. The figure shown is our price, and it includes every mandatory charge we can calculate, including supplier transfer fees where the buyer bears them. Anything payable locally, such as a tourist tax, is listed separately on the page.
Can I change the dates afterwards?
Usually not. Most bookings here are non-refundable and non-amendable, which is precisely why they are priced below market. Assume the dates are fixed unless the listing says otherwise.
Selling
When am I paid?
Seven days after the supplier confirms the booking has been reissued in the buyer's name. The exact date appears on your listing before you accept an offer, and it does not change without your agreement.
Why was my booking rejected?
The most common reason is incorrect or missing booking details: a reference that does not match the confirmation, missing traveller names, dates or supplier terms. To fix it, open the listing from your account, correct the details and upload a clear copy of the full booking confirmation, then resubmit and we will check it again. Other reasons are that the supplier permits a name change but forbids resale, or that travel is too close for a transfer to be processed. We will always tell you which, and quote the clause.
Will buyers see my personal details?
No. Buyers see a first name and an initial, how long you have been selling and how many transfers you have completed. Your surname, address, booking reference and contact details are never published.
Vouchers and credits
How is a voucher different?
You are buying a code, not a reservation. There is no supplier transfer to approve, so the transfer protection does not apply. We confirm the balance with the issuer before release and hold your payment until the code is delivered. If a code is invalid or partly used, report it within 24 hours and we investigate with the issuer and the seller before deciding the outcome.
Can I use part of a voucher?
That depends entirely on the issuer. Each voucher listing states whether part use is permitted and when the credit expires.
When something goes wrong
Who actually deals with my case?
A named person. Every transfer is assigned to one member of our team from payment to confirmation, and their name appears in your account and on every message.
How do I raise a dispute?
Through your account, or by replying to any message from your case owner. Disputes are answered within one working day and resolved within ten, and payouts are held while a dispute is open.
I am travelling and something has gone wrong at the hotel
Once the booking is in your name, the supplier's own terms apply to you directly and they are the first point of contact. Tell us as well: if the problem stems from something misdescribed in the listing, that is ours to put right.
Still need us?
Send a message and it reaches a person, not a queue. If you already have a transfer in progress, reply to your case owner and they will pick it up directly.

A named person owns every transfer, from listing to handover.
